About
Hello there, my name is Cassie Pline, and I am an Artist, an Illustrator and a Fashion Designer.
I grew up in a little town, with a large family, in a sports-oriented school. So, when people praised me for my unique artistic skills and creative styles, I decided to further develop these skills for a creative career.
I’m currently a student at Kendall Collage of Art & Design (Grand Rapids, MI) and am working on my BFA in Illustration with a minor in Fashion.
While here I’ve learned Illustration techniques using acrylics, ink, prismacolor, watercolor, oils, and graphite. My interests as an Illustrator are mostly in the human form. I create fine-art imagery focusing on narrative, mystery and an ideal beauty, primarily shown through the female figure. I use intricate, yet soft, detailing to try and capture the essence of the character and pose my figures in romantic, yet striking poses to give them a sense of life.
I was also fortunate to be starting the fashion studies program as it was beginning to take off. I’ve learned many important skills, including constructing whole garments from scratch.
I have also found a new interest in creating jewelry pieces. Whether from scratch or from pre-made pieces, I find that I truly enjoy the process of making beautiful jewelry and hope to further my studies in this field.
As of now I am building up my potpholio in Fashion and Illustration and developing my knowledge and skill in Jewelry design. I not only plan to lean and utilize these skills, but I hope to combine them to make my own unique style.
